This marks the last first day of school for G. How in the world is he a senior already? He has an easy yet challenging year ahead of him. He has four classes at the school so he's done for the day at lunch. The challenging part happens two days a week when he has Fire Science at the community college for 3 hours each day. I work until 3pm and Dub needs a ride home at 2:15. We need a miracle of sorts.
This is T's first year in middle school, say what? My baby is a middle schooler!!! He has to walk to school Tuesday-Friday since I work, and why do they expect these kids to carry so much? His backpack weighs far more than it should. They don't have lockers so he has to carry everything home even if he doesn't need it. I think it's completely stupid.
Dub is hoping he can get his lunch changed because he doesn't know a soul that has his lunch. So cross your fingers his counselor, that never returned my email or phone calls, can make this happen on Monday when he goes in to talk to him.
The girl is loving her little 3 year olds this year. She's come home with such cute stories, and is always excited for the next day of work.
And yes we are aware T is the oddball of the family. He is so weird most of the time but he keeps us laughing. The girl even asked him if he acts this weird at school and he replied with a "no, I hold it all in until I get home." We are all very relieved and still have hopes of him making friends.
Here's to a great school year for all the kids out there.
