She did it!!!

What a crazy fun filled weekend. We made it through and now we are parents of a high school graduate. How crazy is that?
Grad

I'm going to stop here and give you parents of future high school graduates some advice. Not parenting advice, that's not my place, advice about surviving the day of graduation.
1~Do everything you need to the day before the big day, you may think you'll have time to do last minute this or that, you won't.
2~Accept help when offered, even better, ask for help. Don't be afraid to let someone pick up the cake and flowers.
3~Cry every day for a week until the big day, that's if you are a crier.
4~Bring water to the ceremony, it'll be hot and stuffy 10 minutes in and you'll be thirsty.
5~Don't forget your tissue, even if you think you are all cried out, at one point or another you will need the tissue. I had to use the bottom of my dress.
6~And for the love of all others, PLEASE do not get out of your seat and run over to the stage to get a photo. I know it's an important moment but it's also an important moment for all the other families. When you get up and run around and then make your kid stop at the edge of the stage you slow things down, you get in the way of other parents, the parents that are being respectful and taking photos from their seat. I can't tell you how many heads I have in photos. My mom couldn't even get a photo of the girl because someone stood right in front of her to get a photo of the student after her. So please, stay in your seat.
7~If you are a photographer getting shots of the students for parents to buy, please please PLEASE get there early or better yet ask to have a seat reserved for you, the best spot in the house and stay there. Do not run up and down the bleachers, standing in front of parents. It's rude and distracting.
8~Bring extra tissue for the parents, especially the dads, around you. They will surely appreciate it.
9~Yell really loud and obnoxiously when they call your child's name!! They deserve it!!! They worked hard for that piece of paper.
10~Enjoy every second of the ceremony, it may seem long but really it's such a great day, enjoy it.

I will write more later and share more photos, I have so many thoughts that I can't bring them together to make sense right yet.
