Once a Coach's son always a coach's son. Mr. Fun isn't coaching this season, we didn't get the boys signed up until last minute. You know, because we do everything last minute. This turned out to be a blessing because Mr. Fun has been so busy that he's only been able to make it to a handful of games this season. There was no way he would have the time to coach this season. This doesn't mean that our boys have forgotten the responsibilities of being the home team.
All my boys know that you pull and plug the bases and if there is an extra rake you grab it and help rake the field. They know if there is a bucket of balls that need to be loaded into coach's vehicle you pick it up and load it. It makes me proud when I see them helping after the game. Never being asked, they just do it.
If we haven't done anything else right, we did teach them to be helpful and respectful....if nothing else.
